Territorial Recognition
The REPAIRE independent arts research and experimentation team works on the territories of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation, specifically in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montreal. These lands and waterways have long been the meeting place of many nations, including the Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawks) of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Huron/Wendat, the Abenaki and the Anishinaabeg (Algonquin). These lands are now home to all indigenous peoples around the world.
